Hermes
3/1/01 - Here are long promised
pics of Hermes. He's been here at his forever home for three months now.
He's gone from 9 1/2 pounds to 12 1/2 pounds. (Raleigh says we should
change his name to "Lucky Strike" whose slogan was "so round,
so firm, so fully packed") He has started to fluff out some ruff
and feathers a bit (having been clipped at the shelter because he was so
severely matted.) Sorry to take so long but every time we pick up the
camera they all stop what they were doing to see what we are doing.
Hermes is just a doll. Happy natured, sociable, playful, very urbane
(much prefers the walks and stepping stones to plebian grass and dirt), very
smart and quick to learn. He does delightful Chin-spins. His
funniest quirk is his insatiable desire to see what's over the horizon when
out walking at the park, etc. He is an intrepid explorer. He also
has a BIG bark for such a little guy. Sounds like we have a Rottweiler
in the house. (okay, maybe a beagle) Anyway, we adore him every bit as
much as our other Chin royals.
