Carly

This is Carly, a lovely girl who came to us from an abusive situation. She was extremely shy and insecure, frightened to death of almost everything. She sat trembling in her bed and would not move. It did not help to try to force human companionship on her, for she had no trust in humans. But somebody knew just what to do as you can see. Two of my own dogs moved right in with her. They conveyed to her that it was a safe place, that dogs were welcome here and that she need not be afraid any longer. That's Carly in the back, just beginning to relax a little, our little Trinket in the middle (herself a rescue), and a wonderful, loving gentleman by the name of Ilo Yan who made us all feel loved and appreciated. They worked their own peculiar kind of magic for Carly and she gradually became the loving, playful little charmer she was meant to be.
