Princess & Lucky's Story

Princess and Lucky were orphans looking for a home. Although they were not really abused, they were obviously stressed due to their uncertain future. Princess especially had chewed off all of the hair on one leg.

I had been wanting a dog and discovered this breed, had never actually heard of them before. I've never known dogs with so much personality! I swear they talk. It's been a little over three weeks now since they came to stay, and I think they're finally completely comfortable and adjusted. Our cats had to make a huge adjustment, but most are doing just fine. It's only when they run that they get chased, after all! LOL!

Lucky has been renamed Kazuo, "man of peace," and Princess is now Kimi, "she who is without equal." Kazuo is a regal dog who adores being scratched. If I spend too much time working on the computer he'll "woo" at me until I stop! Kimi is the perpetual puppy,
playful and energetic. Kimi has a bit of agoraphobia. Much as she loves to go for walks around the neighborhood, the local dog park seems too overwhelming for her, so we're taking it slow. :)

My life is so much richer now. I eat better because I cook for them, I've lost weight from all the walks, and I laugh every day at their antics. Gotta love 'em! I can't imagine life without them.
